Over the past 25 yrs I've worked within a few different engineering and design industries - Clean Energy technologies, Life Sciences, Astronomy, Machine tool design, Pre-press equipment and Aerospace - all of which have given me the experience and expertise that I can offer today.I specialise in mechanical design engineering, using Autodesk Inventor 3D/2D CAD to help clients from concept to design to drawings to production. I've been using 3D CAD packages for the past 17 years.I also get heavily involved in assembly and test of the designed mechanical system. I have experience of general mechanical assembly work through to specialist opto-mechanical alignment using optical and interferometric techniques. Tantrum Design can offer the complete concept to commissioning service, providing the production, assembly, test, delivery and commissioning of the designed product.As well as design, I provide technical visualisation and technical animation services using Autodesk 3ds Max Design. Visualisation can really give life to a design prior to it being manufactured. It gives the client chance to properly review the design before committing to manufacture. The images/videos are also a very powerful tool for sales and marketing purposes.Tantrum Design has 'Autodesk Certified Professional' certification for both Inventor and 3ds Max.See 'Services' page for a complete list of what I have to offer.Tantrum Design is based near the centre of Bristol.
